2017 Meeting Schedule

Our meetings bring together the wisdom of seasoned beekeepers as well as newbees just getting started and even those still in the phase of considering. All meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of the month and are free and open to the public, we look forward to you joining us!

Welcome back all members to a new season; how fast it went! Forget that cabin fever and come on out to join us on Thursday, February 16 for the first meeting of the year.
What’s going on in the hive during the deep winter?

Newbee? Join us to get started with the right information
Meetings are on the third Thursday of the month at the Scottville Senior Center, 140 S. Main St.
PLEASE NOTE – New Time! At the Center’s request, meetings will now be held 6:30 to 8:30 pm.

You don’t need to be a beekeeper to attend – newbees and wannabees welcome!

Session will include detailed information needed to get started as a beekeeper in Michigan, including bee biology, equipment assembly demos and bee handling methodology.
Mason County Bee Supplies will be selling equipment and supplies during the day.

Bill and Anne Mauer will be hosting this outdoor “classroom” in the midst of their sizeable apiary

Directions: from US 10, turn north onto Stiles Road. Travel about 2 miles to Victory and turn left (west).
Drive 2 miles to Peterson, turn left (south). They are the first house.
*Scottville Beekeepers brand new BANNER will be at the entrance to mark their drive!
